A man trapped in his unexceptional life and his fear of the unknown experiences a twist of fate one day while visiting the village market. Richard of Aldham is a prisoner of his own fear, his life passing him by. While visiting the village market to get some food, he comes across a mighty armored Knight in distress, and surprises himself by making the fateful choice to help the man. The Knight in gratitude inducts Richard into the Order that he serves. Richard accompanies the Knight on a journey that he could never have imagined. Their adventure takes them across the lands of Athel and is one of self-discovery and growth for Richard, who begins to finally live.
